Mel deVries is the Practice Manager across Sigma Executive, Appreciating Talent and Appreciating Payroll, bringing more than 20 years’ experience supporting senior leaders within executive search, corporate and government environments.

Mel began her career in New Zealand before relocating to Melbourne in January 2000, where she joined executive search firm Hamilton James & Bruce. Since then, she has built a career supporting directors, consultants and leadership teams across complex, fast‑paced portfolios, providing trusted, high‑level operational and strategic support.

Known for her calm capability, professionalism and quiet confidence, Mel is highly regarded for her ability to build strong working relationships and deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes. She plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the practice, allowing consultants and leaders to focus on delivering exceptional results for clients and candidates.

Outside of work, Mel enjoys spending time with her husband Anthony, their three teenagers – Maddie, Olivia and Michael – and their two Golden Retrievers, Leo and Maisie. She is also deeply committed to community involvement, including her ongoing support of Ronald McDonald House Charity.
